I had no idea how many freakin ways you can use coconut oil these days. Honestly, I had never really heard much of it and didn’t even know it existed a few months ago.
I do remember seeing on one of those cool survival shows like Man V. Wild or something that you can put coconut stuff on your face and it will keep you from getting sunburned, but that’s about it.
But I guess in addition to that stuff you can also use it for your dry hair and even as an anti-fungal, whatever that is.
I started reading a bit about the coconut and I found out why I had never heard of it though. It’s because it got a bad reputation a long time ago.
Scientists discovered way back that coconut oil was “bad” for you, so they told people to not use much of it. Now they have figured out that it is actually really GOOD for you, but now nobody is listening.
You can’t do that kind of thing, man. When people get wind that something is bad once, they will always be hesitant to try it out ever again. But if something is bad to begin with, then proven good…it works differently.
But I digress…
There are some great coconut oil benefits though that you seriously wouldn’t think of.
The stuff is really good for your bones and skin, and because it has this stuff in it called Lauric Acid, it is kind of similar (in a roundabout way) to breastfeeding because of the nutrients, not the fun…haha.
So if you are thinking of cooking something new, making a delicious pie, getting some new sunscreen or you just want to try out some new healthy remedies for what ails you, don’t forget about the delicious coconut.
